§ 10-17. Failure to appear in court.

It shall be unlawful for a defendant in the municipal court of the city, whether at liberty under bond or on his own recognizance, to fail to appear in said court on the day set for the trial of his case, and any person who violates this section by so failing to appear shall be punished as provided in section 1-5 of this Code.
